Creative direction for The Trench, Portraits of an Icon. A campaign celebrating 170 years of Burberry with a tribute to its iconic signature coat. Photographed by Tim Walker, the series of 25 intimate black-and-white portraits capture characters from across the creative world, each as iconic as the Trench coat itself. These are accompanied by a series of films that document the creation of the shoot and the unscripted exchanges between cast and crew. Together, the portraits and films form a study of the Trench as both object and symbol, shaped by craft, animated by character and defined by the people who wear it.
